Rain

Pris told me to "blogggggg". My life's really mundane right now, it's moving at an exceptionally slow pace.. There's nothing exciting happening, there's nothing to look forward to (ok, maybe the easter break), there're tons of uni work waiting for me... it's simply boring.

Ai ling was kind enough to invite us over to her place for lunch ala potluck style on saturday - she made her ever yummylicious chicken herbal soup, mayn cooked curry chicken (totally fat free *winks) and pris bought crispy roast pork. I made tofu + mixed veg + roast pork - initially, i planned to wake up damn early to cook. Knowing me, i succumbed to my weakness i.e sleep so i got up rather late and had to rush. Anyway, we had a great time at her place.. We even played taboo for like four hours, in which.. the guys' kiasu-ness was for all to see In the end, we drew (2-2). Stayed at ai ling's for the longest time - chit-chatted after the game, previewing her sister's lovely designer dresses, checking out the city's view from her room.. and lying down on her very very very comfy bed. Thanks ai ling for everything - you really are a great host! Had dinner at dessert house with my homies thereafter, as we were walking there, we witnessed this run-in between the police officers + some drunkards. Quite drama-like, you see the police handcuffing this guy and pushing him into their vehicle, then, a group of them running up the escalator at melboune central (like SWAT) and then sort of caught two guys (who were in a drunken tirade), whacked one of them - made him lie on the floor and all tha jazz.. Then, more police came, and told us to back off and get lost "show's over guys, go homeeee". Very interesting indeed. After dinner, we were walking home aimlessly when edwin suggested we drop by melboune central's lion hotel's bar for a drink, so since we had nothing to do, we went ahead. I had a glass of malibu, then vodka.. Homie A decided on beers, whereas homie B had a margarita. Left after an hour or so...

As for friday night, mayn, homies and i went over to melbourne uni's night market - basically a very asian affair. You get all sort of asian food - satay, apam balek, so-called ramly burger, curry fishballs... you get my drift. It was raining when we got there, we felt rather turned off as we had to walk under the rain, and buying food under the rain.. Even nibbling the food under tha rain, so we left quite early after that. Went over to nocturno at lygon's for a drink instead. Had it not been raining, it would've been a much more enjoyable affair.

Weekdays are insanely boring for me - i eat, sleep, attend classes and laze around at home. It has been raining since this evening, i quite enjoy it although i hope it doesn't rain tomorrow - at least when i'm out attending my classes. I dislike the hassle i have to go through when it starts to rain halfway when i'm out in uni. I have to put up with all sort of shit - opening the umbrella (frantically), getting myself wet, closing the umbrella when i'm in one building... Gah. The weatherman forecasted that it'll be mostly a rather wet week ahead - is it a good thing, or a bad thing?
