simple thoughts
Well, i rather pay $1.90 per day for that "city saver" ride on the tram and get my way up to uni in 5 minutes rather than walking up swanston/elizabeth street for 20 minutes! Not at 8.45 in the morning.. Mum has mentioned that i am one hell of a lazy bum and should actually walk up instead of taking the tram.. Not so much because of the money i spent on trams every week/month, but more on my "health" side. She'd go, "complain fat right? Still wanna tram ar? Walk la!!"
Anyway, the long walk home is always very enjoyable to me because it gives you the excitement that you are one step "closer" to home. I finish most classes by 11am, so i have the whole day ahead of me (yeah, sleeping...) and it gives me something to look forward to. Moreover, i enjoy taking the law building route and hence, passing by the smaller streets rather than taking the two main streets.. It's rather quiet and like what linda said, you get so emo listening to songs on your mp3 whilst walking and wearing your big ass bumblebee shades. Mmmmm. I noticed that it really takes my mind off stuff when i'm doing that and today, whilst crossing victoria street, i saw this fire engine heading back to its station. It was parked right at the front of the traffic lights, and since i was crossing.. they had to stop right? And *sweat* the firemen were all so hot!
Young and muscular.. Ahhh unlike the firemen at home.. All fat with that disgusting, potruding pot belly.. *gags*
Yesterday, i went out to laguna to get my chicken essence.. Cost me $4.39 per bottle.. Which was absolutely insane. I was thinking if i should get the whole box ($23) but then i figured.. might as well buy two bottles first before getting more (if i do need them in the future). Before that, we had lunch at dessert house. On our way there, we decided to stop by target to have a look at stella mccartney's collection and *fuh*, what a mistake. Target was like a warzone, i kid you not. The ladies were all grabbing stella's materials as though they were real gold and even the mannequins' arms were all torn and strewn across the floor. Thought of getting mum something from her collection, but well, looks like i wouldn't be able to. Most of the stuff were gone, except for REAL huge sizes like 16 and 18.. It wasn't very expensive as well, as most of her stuff were ranging from $30-$300. Feeling *sort of* disappointed, we left target and just had or lunch instead. I read the papers earlier on and it's really crazy that some people even fought over her clothings and the queue was about 100+m long and most people were there even before 7am.. And when the shuttle sort of opened, people just squeezed through and ran for their lives.. What nonsense.
I also read online that... the girl who supposedly got 19A1s didn't actually do as well as they reported it to be. Ha ha, talk about humiliation yo. Poor girl even wrote two... Catch that ya'll, yup, she wrote TWO fucking books... on her "success". Speaking from SPM experience, trust me, SPM is nothing. In fact, they taught you the wrong stuff and really, you can even memorise your way to As in spm.
People tend to make a big deal out of it but in the end, it all comes down to nothing. Yeah, you might get into "malaysia's guiness book of records" (which is shit btw) for scoring the most As and scoring some endorsements like those on astro ria promoting educational tv programmes but the next thing you know, you're already forgotten. Something like a one-hit wonder. You know like how we learnt in shakespeare, you're only an actor on the stage? Like how the moment you get off stage, no one remembers you anymore? You get 10As and you feel proud. Yes, you enjoy a moment of euphoria and when you enter college - you meet much smarter people and you feel intimidated. You start to realise your 10As are nothing. You enter uni, you meet even smarter people.. You feel dwarfed by all the smarty-pants surrounding you and honestly, no one's going to give a fuck about your spm. No one's going to ask you how many As you scored for spm. Anyway if you want to read more about all these.. Check out claire's blog la. She has much more to comment about our education system and what not.
I have to upload some pictures so i'll do that as soon as i'm done with my assignment and test. Quite a lot to blog about, just not enough time. Poo. Going out to the city for lunch now.
