Let the holidays begin!
I'm in a somewhat jovial mood right now because today marks the last day of classes for this week. I now embark on a ten day break (not so much of a break anyway, with assignments and mid-sems right after the break) in which i hope to fully utilised it - both in having my leisure r & r time, as well as time to study and complete my assignment.
It's going to be a quiet weekend all thanks to good friday and easter sunday - right up till monday. Most shops will be close tomorrow and on sunday, so there's not much point in going out to the city because it's going to be extremely dead. I guess i could do with studying at home - so much to catch up on (especially reading!!) and i hope to do well in my upcoming mid-sems.
The day after i got back from kl, i was walking in melbourne central when i saw borders advertising harry potter's final book. The harry potter series are some of my favourite books ever, and i can never thank my dad and sis more for introducing me the books in which dad got them from london way back in 98. I have been quite a fan - even driving down to kl at 7am to collect our pre-ordered books from kinokuniya (for the 5th and 6th books). I watched the goblet of fire four effing times - don't ask me why but yeah, i did. All that aside, i paid $10 as a deposit for my book and if i collect it on that day itself, i get a free owl soft toy. *lol* It's pretty worth it because pre-ordering means i only pay $29.95 for the book instead of $49.95 or $59.95 and since i most probably won't be going back for winter, this is something to keep me sane throughout the four-five weeks of holiday (not reading it, but anticipating its release since the book's only coming out on 21st july).
This is krispy kreme's "special edition" easter buns. Not very delicious (they have cinnamon inside - yuck!) and rather pricey. Half a dozen for $11.95. I haven't had krispy kreme since i got back so the other day i was at melbourne central with linda and we thought of visiting it - guess what? They increased the prices so drastically! The sampler pack is now $26.95 instead of $23.95! One donut itself is now $2.35 (i think) when 6 months back, it was only $2.
