Dark grey and cloudy sky
I dislike looking out of the glass door because it gets dark so early nowadays. Everything seems so gloomy and it makes me feel very lonely. So much so that i think, i am starting to get used to being a loner - in fact, i quite enjoy it when i'm all alone at home.
Today after uni, i was on the tram heading towards the city to get some stuff (FAMOUS magazine ooh la la) when this old couple came up the tram. As it was around 3, it was rather packed. I had a seat, but i stood up and offered the old lady my place. She was very grateful for it and kept thanking me. I told her it was okay and i continued standing until the tram stopped at la trobe street. A lot of people tend to get down here because of the train station located underground at melbourne central. The tram was visibly clearer after that and i found a place to sit - like across the aisle from the old lady. Her husband then came up to me and said thank you like a million times for letting her wife sit on my place and they assumed i was going to go down after that but i did not. His wife looked at me and smiled graciously. They went down in the next stop and before they did, she turned back and waved at me and told me to have a nice day and said that i was a very "nice and kind" person. HAHA. I know, digressed a bit but that's beside the point. This is one of the points that i like about being here in melbourne - seeing old couples being so in love even after decades together. The way they still hold their hands, the way the old man cares for the old lady, the way they look at each other affectionately... it just brings a smile to my face and i really wish that one day, i will grow old just like that with my husband. Being slightly commitment-phobic at this stage, i have no confidence in myself on whether that will come true in 50 years time, whether will there be someone to hold my hand when i cross the road and all that jazz, but i definitely harbour hope... that it will come true.
There are certain animosities that i need to get rid off.
