Ouch.

Uni started on monday. I have gone back to my boring old days. The same-old-mundane routine i used to live on before my wonderful easter holidays. *Dread dread dread* How i miss easter when all i would do is laze around and sleeeeppp.

Last thursday night, homies and i went to cili malam again. I have no idea why we still choose to go there even when the food they serve have exorbitant prices. Our "supper" cost us more than RM100, can you imagine, going to a mamak and end up paying > RM100?! That would probably last me for 10 mamak sessions back home. Unfortunately, it is not the case here. We had two bowls of prawn mee @ AUD$9 per bowl and i had a plate of fried carrot cake @$7. Two cups of teh tarik peng cost AUD$2.50 per cup and a bottle of iced lemon tea came up to AUD$3.60. Add that with a 10% surcharge, and if your head works fast enough, that comes up to AUD$37. Multiply that with the current exchange rate of $AUD2.85 you get RM105.45. Still, we go there occasionally because like i've said, most of the food they serve are the closest it can taste to the ones back in malaysia.

Had late lunch at the new dessert house on friday - i ordered a plate of "spicy, salt and pepper chicken wings with salad and fries". When the meal came, yeah, i saw four chicken wings drizzled with sweet chilli sauce + mayo (mind you, it doesn't taste spicy, salty or pepper-ish at all!), salad = four rocket leaves and some carrot and fries = few slices of jack and jill potato chips. -_____-" Helped linda with dinner on friday night as she had some friends over at our place. Standing in that tiny kitchen from 5-8.30pm kills.

We were supposed to visit great ocean road on saturday with mayn. Unfortunately, it was just too hectic so we figured we'll go soon on one of these weekends. Instead, i ended up waking up close to 2pm and we had lunch at redsilks... again! Seriously, we're such a bunch of predictable people. *sigh* I ordered kung po chicken and i bit into a piece of dried chilli and all the while i was like, "wahhh damn lat ahh why the chicken so smooth one?" before realising that i was chewing to the piece of dried chilli... and thus, resulting in me ordering two cups of iced lemon tea.

Yi wen was kind enough to invite us over to her place in the suburb (glen waverly, to be exact) on sunday. Mayn, linda, edwin and i went. I shall blog about this next time along with some of the pictures we took but all i can say is, we had a lot of fun and food! We had nasi lemak (which was realll good), cake, curry puff and tapioca cake. Awesome. It also proves how small this world can be, when i met my aunt for the first time (my mum's cousin sister)! She's yi wen's uncle's wife (see, i told you it was small!) and we were casually chatting about where we came from "ohh i'm from kajang.. sungai chua to be exact.. kajang garden.. my mum's a koe" and then... "ohmygod you're soo hwa's daughter??" -_____-" Whatever it is, more on that the next time i post the pictures up. All in all, thank you yi wen for having us over at your place!!

Since friday, i was suffering from some sort of stomach discomfort, i had no idea what it was and i thought it was maybe, wind. However, it went on and on (up until now, this very moment) and i think it must've gotten worse thanks to the dried chilli + iced lemon tea case. Finally today, i went to unimelb's health services to consult a doctor and try to diagnose the "discomfort". She insisted that it might be due to "stomach reflex", "wind" or "indigestion" but she insisted that my stress level is rather high and said it might contribute to the "pain" as well. Actually, she sounded as if i went there seeking treatment for mental breakdown. She kept asking, "anything bothering you at all? no? are you suffering from any difficulties - financially, maybe? did you do poorly in your first year? are you having relationship problems?" and my answers were, no, no and no! "Sometimes, people are really stressed out and they just don't realise how bad it is..." -___-" Anyway, i told her about my sleeping pattern and how i have headaches quite often - in which she also tried to tie it to my stomach's problem. Aiyoyo, nevertheless, she was a very nice woman and she gave me some pills (for free since it's a sample pack) for my stomach. She took my blood pressure (normal, thank god) and told me if nothing gets better, go back to see her again and she'll do a blood test as well. Scary-mary.

I have a killer week so i won't be blogging anymore anytime soon.

Been nerding out at the library these past few days (intend to do so tmrw as well!) and i'm quite proud of myself because i am still surviving so far (with the help of junk food and latte - so unhealthy!). I'm not surprised if i can't fit into my skinnies after this week (yikes). Time to cook for dinner.
