What happened?

I go to the star online everyday without fail. I read the articles. I want to know what's happening back home.

In my opinion, the news get from bad to worse every day.

I used to be able to cycle in my housing area freely when i was 10, without my mum worrying that i will be kidnapped or raped. I also used to cycle to tuition with esther every monday when i was 11 and 12. Now, you can't even enjoy a ride around your neighbourhood without having the fear of getting kidnapped/raped/assaulted.

Rape cases, snatch thefts, murder, robbery.... these sickening crimes are escalating by the day. Even so, i see that no stern actions are taken to prevent these from happening. When something bad happens, everyone makes a big deal out of it. After that, no one seems to care anymore.

Also, i don't see why can't we be more open?

If a newspaper wants to publish something that is an eyesore to you, then don't bloody read it. If there is a programme being aired on tv that will make you sick, then don't watch it. Why make a fuss out of it?

If a council is caught eyeing a female journalist's thighs through its cctv, then just bloody admit that you were being a pervert. You are sick. You are deprived. Why blame the journalist for wearing a dress? *coughs* Don't tell me wearing a dress is wrong in the public? You bloody sexist.

If a girl is wearing something more revealing, just let her be. Why ogle? Why wolf-whistle? Why write to the newspaper? You can't seem to wear a pair of short-shorts or miniskirt out without at least someone staring cock at you or doing the *choot*(sucks lips) 'leng lui ahh' or 'ah moii' thing.

The priorities seem to be wrong, too.

Why would you grant an expedition team a huge amount of money just to plant the flag on top of the pyramids? Or to build some funny "sports centre" abroad? Why not do something about poverty? Or education? Or health? Something that benefits the society as a whole?

These petty little questions are the ones that keep me, and undoubtedly, many others thinking all the time - in which there seem to be no answers to them.

Still, at the end of the day, i contradict myself because i love my country and there's really no place like home.
